My Story
I have had the privilege of working with individuals and families throughout Oregon for the past 23 years. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I have experience supporting people through many different ages, stages, and transitions in life.My work has included individuals, couples, families, children, teens, and young adults, with a particular focus on helping families navigate challenges and strengthen their relationships.
I also have 14 years of experience working with military families and veterans, giving me a deep appreciation for the unique experiences, transitions, and challenges they may face.I have worked with children and families in both inpatient and outpatient settings and have experience with foster children and their families.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing from a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Family Systems Therapy.I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. I strive to meet each person where they are and tailor therapy to their individual needs, strengths, and goals.
Whether you are navigating relationship challenges, family concerns, life transitions, or personal growth, my goal is to provide a compassionate and supportive space where meaningful change can begin.

My Values
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is one of the cornerstones of the therapeutic relationship. All interactions, scheduling notes, progress notes, and discussions that take place during your counseling sessions are strictly confidential. Also, I will not confirm or deny that you are a client to any outside party (including family, friends, or employers) without your specific, written permission. There are specific exceptions to confidentiality and these will be explained at the first session.
Creativity
I am a strong believer in the power of creativity in the therapeutic process. Many times clients come to me seeking novel solutions to their problem. I enjoy helping my clients to “think outside the box” and explore new ideas and different ways to solve problems. I also encourage my clients to tap into the creative parts of themselves between sessions with activities such as arts, crafts, journaling, and other things that foster right brain creativity.
Compassion
Compassion is a vital part of therapy and involves recognizing suffering in my clients and then pairing that awareness with a genuine commitment and action plan to relieve and prevent it. The result of therapeutic compassion is the activation of calming brain networks that foster safety, emotional regulation, and resilience. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment of trust and compassion so that healing can happen.
Acceptance
As a psychotherapist I work with a wide variety of clients. This requires balancing clinical competence, personal scope of practice, and ethical boundaries. I work with clients that present with various personalities, different developmental stages, and sometimes very difficult life situations. I strive to create an environment where people feel acknowledged, accepted, and validated no matter what issues they bring to therapy. This involves understanding personal preferences, managing difficult presentations, and knowing when to refer out.
